How to submit an abstract :
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED:All abstracts must be submitted online by June 20, 2008.
- The conference will only accept abstracts submitted on the web site.
- Abstracts can be submitted in English or French.
- Abstracts must adhere to one of the following formats:
- Format 1
- Objective
- Methods
- Results obtained
- Conclusion
- Format 2
- Abstract title
- Description of the problem
- Activities carried out and results obtained
- Lessons learned and next steps
- Format 1
- Please use the font Arial, font size 10 pt for your abstract.
- The abstract must not exceed 2300 characters (including spaces).
- Authors may indicate their preference for an oral presentation or a poster. However, the Scientific Program Committee will make the final decision for the type of presentation, taking into account time and space constraints.
Oral presentations
Each presentation will be 10 minutes long, followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
Presentations should be prepared using Microsoft PowerPoint or compatible software and brought to the conference on CD-ROM or USB flash drive. All presentations will be stored in the conference center network in order to ensure availability in all session rooms.
Posters
- The poster panels are 0.95 m (3.11 ft) wide X 2.28 m (7.48 ft) high.
- Authors will hang their materials (graphics, diagrams, films, data tables and concise text) using double-sided tape.
- The title and authors must be indicated in the poster heading.
- A copy of the abstract must be placed on the upper left corner of the poster.
- All posters should be visible and legible at a distance of 1.5 m (approx. 5 ft).
- Body text characters must be at least 8 mm (0.3 inches) high. Graphics, drawings and illustrations must be prepared in advance and must be at least 20 cm (8 inches) wide by 25 cm (10 inches) high.
- All materials must be removed from the poster panels as soon as the session ends.
NB. The deadline for submission of abstracts is June 20, 2008. Submission of an abstract implies consent to its publication in the abstract book and on the web site if it is accepted.
